Faith is central to Ruckel's life and professional philosophy, and she actively supports her church, missions, and individuals in need within her community. She encourages others to develop a strong mindset, focus on consistent activity rather than immediate outcomes, seek knowledgeable mentors, and remain open to the expanding opportunities within network marketing and entrepreneurship.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Laura
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success largely to my mother, who was an exceptionally hard worker. I never saw her remain idle; she was always finding ways to provide for our family while still being present for us. Her example instilled in me a strong work ethic, determination, and the drive to keep going even when things are difficult. I also believe my father contributed to that foundation through his own example of consistency and dedication. Ultimately, I learned from my parents the importance of hard work, perseverance, and refusing to give up.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to fix your mindset because mindset is everything. The way you approach challenges, opportunities, and setbacks can have a tremendous impact on your ability to succeed. I believe developing the right mindset is foundational to achieving meaningful and lasting results.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I always tell my team to focus on the activity rather than the outcome. Network marketing requires significant effort on the front end, and it is not a get-rich-quick opportunity. You have to be willing to work consistently, learn, develop relationships, and build your business.
What makes this industry different from a traditional 9-to-5 career is that the work you put in initially can eventually create residual and passive income, providing a greater degree of freedom. I encourage young women to understand that success takes time and effort and to focus on building a strong foundation rather than expecting immediate results.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is the skepticism and judgment surrounding the network marketing industry. Many people form opinions about the industry without fully understanding how it works, receiving adequate training, or having the benefit of strong leadership and mentorship. I believe education is critical because network marketing is an industry in its own right and requires people to learn, develop skills, and work with experienced mentors.
At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities because the industry has expanded beyond traditional product sales. There are opportunities involving digital businesses, travel, artificial intelligence, content creation, education, and other emerging areas. The possibilities continue to grow for people who are willing to educate themselves and adapt.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My faith comes first. Putting God first is fundamental to how I approach both my personal life and my work. I also place a high value on living with strong morals and surrounding myself with people who demonstrate good values, integrity, and high standards. I believe those principles should guide the way we treat others and conduct ourselves professionally.
