About Laura
Laura Torres is an automotive technician who has been with Gerber Collision for four years. She entered the field after helping her husband at work one weekend, leading to her being hired. In addition to her professional role, she serves as PTO President for her daughter's elementary school and participates in Site Council for the same school. She also volunteers at events for her daughters' high school and middle school. Laura has contributed to Gerber Collision's community give-back program by working on cars donated to families in need. She views her work as requiring time and patience, likening it to building with Legos, and advises aspiring technicians to learn from mistakes and ask for help.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I see it as Legos. You have to have time and patience. You will make mistakes, but you'll learn from those mistakes. And don't be afraid of asking for help.
