About Laura
Laura Tortora founded her nonprofit organization in January 2025 in Riverside, California. She brings more than 20 years of volunteer experience in nonprofits and roughly 8 years of professional experience in the sector. Motivated by her personal journey through domestic violence, she developed a need-sharing platform exclusively for faith communities to connect individuals in need with those able to provide support, whether through monetary aid, services, or tangible goods. This initiative addresses a gap she observed while advocating for women exiting domestic violence situations within faith spaces, emphasizing internal community care alongside outreach.
