Laura Van Dervoort
Laura Van Dervoort is a seasoned pharmaceutical sales professional and COE Winner currently serving as a Senior Respiratory Specialty Representative within Amgen’s Inflammation Business Unit. Based in the Greater Sacramento area, she brings more than a decade of experience partnering with physicians to introduce innovative therapies that improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Since joining Amgen in June 2025, Laura has continued to demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, strategic territory management, and a patient-centered approach, building on her proven success across multiple specialty areas.
Prior to Amgen, Laura held impactful roles with leading pharmaceutical companies including Optinose, Eisai, and Sanofi. As a Territory Manager at Optinose, she supported physicians with Xhance for chronic sinusitis with or without nasal polyps, while earlier roles included Specialty CNS Sales Representative at Eisai and Diabetes Sales Specialist at Sanofi, where she worked with well-known therapies such as Lantus, Toujeo, Soliqua, and Fycompa. Her consistent performance and dedication were recognized with the President’s Club Award in 2024, reflecting her ability to combine strong results with ethical, patient-focused selling.
Laura’s professional foundation is supported by a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Chico (1998) and a Master’s degree in Counseling/School Psychology from the University of La Verne (2003). Alongside her corporate career, she has served as an instructor at Chico Sports Club for over 20 years, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to education, wellness, and helping others thrive. With continuous product training, ongoing professional development, and a genuine passion for improving lives, Laura remains dedicated to advancing healthcare through meaningful physician partnerships and lifelong learning.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to keep learning continuously and never let hearing “no” discourage me.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is not always being able to reach providers, along with the ongoing pressure of limited time to effectively manage responsibilities and deliver results.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are being helpful and kind to others, and maintaining perseverance by never giving up.
