Her Story

About Laureen

I am a school psychologist by trade and have been in the education field for 18 years. I started White Birch Educational Services in 2017 after seeing a need for contract services as opposed to direct employment with school districts. I began the company in collaboration with a school district I was contracting with, starting with 7 employees. It's been a lot of hard work, but we now have over 100 team members in the field. We were named by New Hampshire Business Magazine the third fastest women-led business in New Hampshire in 2024, and the second fastest women-led business in the October 2025 issue. We now have a full leadership team supporting our team members in the field, who work in different disciplines such as school psychologists, BCBAs, speech and language pathologists, and other related service providers to special education programs throughout New Hampshire. We are starting to edge into Massachusetts as well. Our primary focus is on providing exceptional services to children, and we believe we do that through providing exceptional services to our team members, so we work to be very good employers. We work really hard to partner and understand what the school district's needs are, so we have strong partnerships with our districts throughout New Hampshire. We're very proud of what we've built and how we support our students, our districts, and our team members. We feel like we have, and we will continue to provide really great services.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I think it's very important to recognize women in the business realm, and the successes should be celebrated. I love seeing all these women-owned businesses and women-run businesses that, if the platforms weren't there, we wouldn't be aware of. So it provides an awareness to our communities. Our mission is what is most important - our primary focus is on providing exceptional services to children, and we believe we do that through providing exceptional services to our team members, so we work to be very good employers. We work really hard to partner and understand what the school district's needs are.
