Laurel J. Camarda
Laurel Camarda is a multifaceted professional whose life and work are deeply rooted in faith, creativity, and innovation. As an intercessor in the body of Christ recognized in Greek as πρόδρομος and in Hebrew as מְבַשָּׂר she partners in global Kingdom initiatives and leads an active online ministry through TikTok, where she shares the gospel and inspires thousands. Laurel is also a prolific fiction writer and poet, with over 13 romance novels, multiple poetry collections, and short stories. Her Winter 2025 feature, Le jardin des tourterelles (The Garden of Turtle Doves), explores the love story of the Mōlī Laysan albatross named Wisdom, reflecting themes from her Icelandic puffin novel series, while she continues to seek publication for Rose Garden, a short story inspired by her Scottish collection.
Professionally, Laurel works in the environmental sector and holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Jacksonville University. She specializes in designing digital data dashboards and has extensive experience in investigative public health audits, including work with CDC-funded initiatives. Her career demonstrates a strong commitment to data-driven impact and sustainable solutions. Laurel views her dyslexia as a unique asset that enhances her problem-solving, storytelling, and design skills. She plans to pursue a Doctorate in Business to further expand her influence at the intersection of policy, data, and innovation.
Outside of her professional life, Laurel pursues a wide range of creative and adventurous hobbies. She tends a garden with over 35 fruit trees, plays a 34-string custom lever harp handcrafted in Ireland, practices archery, and enjoys figure skating. An adventurer at heart, she spends winters exploring glaciers and dormant volcanic sites in the Arctic Circle. On weekends, she enjoys quality time with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Peter, and her two brothers, with whom she supports the family business, Camarda Wealth Advisory. Through all her pursuits, Laurel blends faith, creativity, and dedication, inspiring others to embrace their passions and purpose.
