Her Story

About Lauren

Lauren Anderson is a digital marketing professional with 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Her expertise centers on search visibility, where she particularly enjoys SEO practices and emerging AI visibility strategies, along with analytics and paid search. Anderson earned her bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of North Florida in 2011 and her master's in digital strategy from the University of Florida in 2019. She began her career path studying communications after initial interests in English and psychology, transitioning into digital marketing through an internship that leveraged her tech-savvy background. In her role, she focuses on optimizing content for search engines and large language models while navigating HIPAA regulations and integrating data from multiple systems to track ROI on campaigns. Anderson credits her success to a persistent, stubborn approach to achieving goals combined with the support of family, friends, and collaborative teammates. She advises young professionals to constantly learn, collaborate rather than compete internally, and remain open to the evolving nature of the field.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lauren

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a little bit of stubbornness - I get fixated on something that I want to see happen and have a really hard time letting that go. I also give credit to the people I've worked with, my supportive family, friends, and teammates who help each other shine.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

A mentor at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts advised me to look at my goals and who I want to be and where I want to go, and make a decision from that point. She was a strong, calm leader who helped shift from Plan A to Plan B when things didn't go as planned, staying grounded in values.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Always be learning and constantly learn. Be collaborative rather than competitive with coworkers - help each other shine. Save your competitive nature for the market. Be open to where the field takes you because it changes constantly and you might discover new strengths and interests you didn't expect.
