A native of Northern Indiana, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Purdue University and her master’s in Special Education Administration from Ball State University. Lauren began her career as a life-skills and special education classroom teacher before transitioning into the online education space, where she has focused on developing alternative learning environments for students with anxiety, depression, and special needs. Currently, she serves as Director of Communications & District Partnerships at Braintree Education Services, managing district partnerships, communications, marketing, and field operations across multiple states.

Lauren is passionate about family-centered advocacy and flexible, inclusive education models that meet students where they are—academically and culturally. She has presented nationally on virtual special education programming and emphasizes the importance of offering nontraditional learners, including Amish students, access to meaningful educational options. Balancing professional leadership with personal life, Lauren is a mother of six and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership & Policy at Purdue University, focusing on education choice. Known for her empathy, humor, and collaborative leadership style, she mentors colleagues and champions women and mothers in education, consistently advocating for programs that empower students, families, and communities alike.
