Her Story
About Lauren
Lauren Bimonte serves as an Assistant State Attorney at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office. She has been an attorney for two years and has worked at the state attorney's office for three years. In her role, Bimonte handles a docket of felony cases each morning, typically managing between five to thirty cases in court per day. Her work focuses on criminal prosecution, where she acts as the voice for victims of crime. She manages a felony caseload ranging from domestic violence to theft. In the afternoons, she conducts depositions with victims and witnesses alongside law enforcement and prepares for trials. Bimonte graduated from Cooley Law School in 2023 after completing her first year at Ave Maria School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, majoring in political science and criminology, and attended Tampa Preparatory High School. She is a member of the Junior League of Tampa, the Tampa Prep Alumni Board, and the Goldburg Caccitore Criminal Law Inn of Court Court, a group of criminal law attorneys. Bimonte attributes her success to confidence in herself and credits her family and the opportunity to give victims a voice in court as her core values.

Being confident in yourself and ignoring the outside noise of people who might not believe in your potential as much as you do.

To stand up tall with our shoulders back, and be ready for whatever's to come.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Accepting that you might not know everything.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My family, and knowing that the victims that I represent in court feel that they're that they have a voice.
