Lauren Shawcross-Hudson is a seasoned hospitality and tourism professional with a strong track record of driving growth, building partnerships, and elevating guest experiences across the travel industry. Currently a Senior Market Manager at Expedia Group, Lauren plays a key role in supporting and expanding market performance while advancing the company’s mission that travel is a force for good. Based in Destin, Florida, she brings a strategic, people-centered approach to her work, shaped by years of experience in both hotel operations and global travel platforms.
Before joining Expedia Group, Lauren held several senior leadership roles within the hospitality sector, including Director of Sales and Marketing positions with Concord Hospitality Enterprises, Four Points by Sheraton, and Island Hospitality Management. Her background also includes serving as Director of Catering and Convention Services at DoubleTree by Hilton, where she honed her expertise in large-scale events, business travel, and client relations. Across each role, Lauren has been recognized for her adaptability, organizational strength, and ability to lead high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
In addition to her professional achievements, Lauren is deeply committed to community involvement and service. She has been an active member of Rotary International for nearly a decade and previously served on the board of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, Lauren continues to blend her passion for travel, leadership, and community impact—making her a respected and influential voice in the hospitality and tourism industry.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t be afraid to try new things—what you don’t know yet can’t limit you, and growth only happens when you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the field right now is navigating economic headwinds, while also finding opportunities to adapt, innovate, and continue delivering value despite financial uncertainty.
