Lauren’s path has always been driven by a dual commitment to artistic expression and practical leadership. Guided by her parents to balance her innate musical gifts with long-term stability, she completed the rigorous Executive Secretarial Program at the Katharine Gibbs School. This foundational training launched a distinguished, two-decade career in administration and executive support. Lauren serves as an Executive Assistant to the C-Suite at a Federally Qualified Health Center, supporting the delivery of vital primary healthcare to underserved and uninsured communities. Her extensive background spans the nonprofit, public, educational, and faith-based sectors, where she manages high-level communications, and ensures organizational effectiveness. Known for her professionalism, and ability to navigate fast-paced, mission-driven environments with precision, Lauren supports senior leaders and organizations in achieving success.
Alongside her career, Lauren has pursued academic excellence with unwavering determination. Her passion for understanding leadership and human behavior led her to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Organizational Psychology and Development (2008), followed by a Master of Science in Psychology (2024), graduating with a 3.86 GPA. Her achievements earned her placement on the Dean’s List and induction into The National Society of Leadership and Success, reflecting her lifelong commitment to personal growth.
Triumph Over Adversity & The Power of Testimony
What sets Lauren apart as an exemplary individual is not just her impressive resume, but the profound resilience she has demonstrated in her personal life. Confronted with the painful end of her marriage while her daughter was a baby, Lauren was forced to rebuild her life while navigating the heavy weights of heartbreak, depression, and anxiety.
In that season of adversity, Lauren turned to her faith and her lifelong love for music. Out of her pain came her powerful recorded testimony, Great Are You Lord, a song reflecting God’s faithfulness in sustaining her. Her life and ministry stand as a living reflection of Psalm 145:3:

Ten minutes with Lauren
01What do you attribute your success to?
Raised in a Christ-centered home shaped by prayer, music, and weekly Bible study, Lauren carries a foundation rooted in faith and purpose. She attributes her success to God’s grace, anchored in the promise of Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” That truth has steadied her through challenges and growth, shaping her perspective, direction, and resolve.
She also credits her professional success to the intentional work she began in 2021 with Life Coach Jacqueline Miller and Certified Professional Career Coach Nikki Tetzlaff. Together, they established clear SMART goals that provided structure, direction, and a roadmap for both personal and professional growth. Through their encouragement, she gained clarity around her strengths, identified areas for development, and built a focused path toward the career she envisioned.
Once those goals were set, Lauren committed fully to the process with consistency and determination, strengthening her skills and staying focused on long-term objectives. Each milestone became a step toward a larger vision.
Today, she serves in the C-Suite Executive Assistant role she once envisioned for herself. This achievement reflects intentional goal setting, disciplined execution, perseverance, and accountability. She is living the career she once mapped out and does not take a single moment for granted, remaining grounded in gratitude for the journey, the growth, and the work that continues to stretch and inspire her.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of career advice I have ever received is: your boss will not remember the nights you stayed late, but your family will. Early in my career, I believed long hours and constant sacrifice were necessary for success. Over time, I learned that approach comes at a cost I was no longer willing to pay. The experience reshaped how I define success. You’re replaceable at work. You’re irreplaceable at home. Today, I choose balance.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Too often, we measure ourselves against a future version of who we hope to become and overlook the growth and progress being developed in the present.
My advice to young women entering this industry is to learn to quiet the voice of self-criticism. Recognize that meaningful growth is often built through small, consistent steps. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small, because each one reflects perseverance, learning, and forward movement. Extend grace to yourself and release unrealistic expectations.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I am an Executive Assistant who combines executive-level expertise with a strong sense of purpose and service. Supporting leaders, creating organization, and ensuring operational excellence are at the heart of what I do. I thrive behind the scenes, coordinating the many moving parts that keep operations running smoothly.
One of the greatest challenges facing the Executive Assistant profession is the ongoing misconception of the role.
Across many industries, Executive Assistants are often viewed primarily as note takers or administrative support rather than strategic partners who contribute insight, problem-solving, and organizational leadership. This undervaluation can overshadow the significant impact Executive Assistants have on executive effectiveness and overall organizational success.
My strengths in executive coordination and commitment to excellence enable me to support leaders with professionalism, discretion, and integrity. My educational background enhances my ability to anticipate needs, build strong relationships, and navigate complex challenges.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my professional life, the values that guide me most are service, integrity, excellence, and reliability. As an Executive Assistant, I view my role as far more than managing schedules and coordinating logistics. I see it as an opportunity to support others, anticipate needs, and solve problems. I take pride in being someone others can depend on, whether managing competing priorities, handling confidential matters, or ensuring that important details do not fall through the cracks.
Integrity is at the core of everything I do. Building trust, maintaining confidentiality, and following through on commitments are responsibilities I take seriously. I am committed to excellence, believing that every task deserves my best effort, regardless of its size or visibility.
Family is one of the values I hold most dear. After my divorce, I raised my daughter, LeiLani, as a single mother and faced seasons of financial struggle that tested me in ways I never expected. Looking back, however, I do not focus on the hardships. I focus on the memories we created, the laughter we shared, and the life we built together.
One of my greatest blessings is that LeiLani remembers those years with joy rather than struggle. I worked hard to shield her from burdens and to create a childhood filled with love and meaningful experiences. Those challenges strengthened me, deepened my faith, and taught me resilience, perseverance, and gratitude.
Today, when I look at the remarkable young woman LeiLani has become, I am reminded that some of life's greatest successes are not measured by titles, recognition, or financial gain. They are measured by the people we help shape, the values we pass on, and the legacy we leave through our love and sacrifice.
