What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For young women entering my industry, my advice is to be intentional about building relationships and seeking out mentors. Don’t hesitate to make connections or ask for guidance—people are often more willing to help than you might expect, especially within collegiate athletics. Surrounding yourself with experienced professionals who are open to sharing their knowledge can provide invaluable insight, support, and opportunities as you grow in your career.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are excellence, accountability, resiliency, and strong support systems. My family is at the center of everything I do—being a mother to my two young sons and spending time outdoors, whether at the beach or hiking, helps me stay grounded and maintain balance, especially during the demanding coaching season. My husband’s support has been essential in allowing me to pursue my career while managing family responsibilities.
Professionally, I strive to bring those same values into my coaching program by holding myself and others to high standards, staying resilient through challenges, and taking ownership of both successes and setbacks. Above all, my goal is to be the best version of myself as a coach, leader, wife, and mother, understanding that while perfection isn’t always attainable, consistent effort, self-awareness, and integrity matter most.
