Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lauren

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success first and foremost to God, my faith, and the unwavering support of my family. Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in me have provided a strong foundation throughout every stage of my personal and professional journey. I also attribute my success to determination, discipline, consistency, and a commitment to excellence in everything I pursue.

I have always believed that when you begin something, you should approach it with passion, integrity, and the determination to see it through successfully. That mindset has continuously motivated me to grow, evolve, and pursue every opportunity with intention and purpose. I believe success is not built overnight, but rather through consistency, resilience, and the willingness to continue showing up even during challenging seasons.

I also believe that authentic leadership and meaningful relationships contribute greatly to success. People respond to genuine compassion, integrity, and consistency. Whether in education, leadership, or entrepreneurship, I strive to lead in a way that uplifts, inspires, and empowers others. Remaining grounded in faith, maintaining a strong work ethic, and never allowing limitations to define my potential have all played significant roles in my journey.

Above all, I believe success is most meaningful when it creates opportunities to positively impact the lives of others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the most valuable pieces of career advice I have ever received is that long-term success is built through consistency, excellence, integrity, and the way you treat people, not simply through titles or recognition. When you focus on producing quality work, remaining dependable, and operating with professionalism, opportunities naturally begin to align with your purpose.

Another lesson that has stayed with me throughout my life is: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” That advice taught me the importance of stepping outside of my comfort zone, believing in my abilities, and pursuing opportunities with confidence rather than fear. Growth often requires courage, and sometimes the greatest obstacle standing between you and your next level is self-doubt.

I also strongly believe that your reputation enters the room before you do. Your character, consistency, work ethic, and professionalism all speak on your behalf long before introductions are made. Because of that, I have always believed in carrying myself with integrity, treating people with respect, and striving for excellence in every environment I enter.

To me, true success is not only about achievement; it is about the impact you leave on others through your leadership, character, and service.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering this industry to lead with confidence, authenticity, purpose, and compassion. Never underestimate the value of your voice, your ideas, or your ability to create meaningful impact. There is space for you to grow, lead, and succeed exactly as you are.

I would also remind them not to place limitations on themselves. Sometimes women feel pressure to fit into expectations or minimize their potential, but true leadership begins when you fully embrace who you are and walk confidently in your purpose. Continue striving for excellence, remain committed to growth, and never stop investing in yourself personally or professionally.

Most importantly, give yourself grace throughout the journey. Success does not happen overnight, and growth often develops through experience, resilience, and perseverance. Continue showing up, even during difficult moments, because consistency matters more than perfection.

Never underestimate the power of your presence, your perseverance, or your purpose. Often, simply showing up authentically and courageously becomes inspiration for someone else. You may never fully realize how many people are being empowered simply by watching you pursue your goals with determination and grace.

Lead with kindness, remain grounded in your values, and always remember that you belong in every room you aspire to enter.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities within education right now is the ability to create transformational impact through relationship-centered leadership, instructional support, and meaningful collaboration. Educators today need environments where they feel valued, encouraged, supported, and empowered to grow professionally. As an instructional coach, I have witnessed firsthand how impactful leadership and intentional coaching can strengthen teacher confidence, instructional effectiveness, and overall student success.

I believe the foundation of transformational leadership is trust. When educators feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported, they become more receptive to collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement. Building authentic relationships is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting change within educational environments.

Another major opportunity within the field is innovation and continuous learning. Education is constantly evolving, which requires leaders to remain adaptable, reflective, and open to new strategies that support both educators and students. Leaders who are willing to grow alongside the changing needs of education will continue creating meaningful and sustainable impact.

At the same time, one of the most important challenges facing education today is educator burnout and maintaining morale within the profession. Supporting teacher wellness, confidence, and work-life balance is essential because educators perform at their highest capacity when they feel appreciated, supported, and valued not only professionally, but personally as well.

I believe the future of education depends heavily on leaders who are willing to lead with empathy, innovation, and intentionality while continuing to invest in people first.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are faith, integrity, compassion, excellence, growth, and respect. I strongly believe integrity is the foundation of true leadership. Doing the right thing consistently, even when no one is watching, reflects both character and accountability. Integrity influences how you lead, how you treat others, and how you represent yourself in every aspect of life.

Compassion and kindness are also deeply important to me. Whether working with educators, students, colleagues, or members of the community, I believe people should feel respected, supported, encouraged, and valued. I believe the most impactful leaders are those who not only inspire excellence, but also genuinely care about the well-being and growth of others.

I also value excellence and lifelong learning. I am constantly striving to grow personally and professionally while continuing to evolve as a leader. I believe growth requires humility, adaptability, and the willingness to continuously learn from both successes and challenges.

Above all, my faith remains the foundation of everything I do. Staying grounded spiritually helps guide my decisions, strengthen my resilience, and keep me focused on leading with purpose, gratitude, and authenticity. My faith reminds me that leadership is not simply about personal success, but about using your gifts, influence, and platform to positively impact the lives of others.
