Dr. Lauren Reinerman-Jones is a distinguished human factors expert, acting Section Manager, and Principal Analyst at Southwest Research Institute, where she leads cutting-edge research in neuromorphic computing and artificial intelligence for defense and government applications. With a PhD and Master’s in Human Factors Psychology from the University of Cincinnati, she brings a rare combination of scientific expertise, technical acumen, and strategic vision to complex problem spaces. Her work spans modeling, simulation, experimental design, technology integration, and training, empowering her to develop innovative, human-centric solutions that improve performance and system design across diverse sectors.
Over her career, Dr. Reinerman-Jones has collaborated extensively with the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Special Forces, FBI, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, applying her deep understanding of human behavior and system interactions to enhance operational effectiveness and safety. She has also served as a consultant, professor, and senior scientist, contributing to both academic research and applied technological development.
