About Lauren
I have been working in the nonprofit sector for five years now. My main roles involve being a mentor, speaker, and content creator. I am particularly proud of founding my nonprofit organization called Fly Girls with the Z Academy, which supports young girls. I earned my Master's in Educational Leadership Policy Studies in 2016 and belong to Leadership Fort Worth. Outside of work, I cherish time with my family and child, enjoy massages, and love reading books.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God and also my wonderful husband who invested in my path.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
It's okay to fail, because some people don't even try.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell them to be bold and competent in the vision that has been placed in their hearts. And know that success comes with ups and downs, but you will make it.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Changes in policy when it comes to funding.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
God, family, and faith.
