About Lauren
Lauren Seidner is a seasoned product and innovation leader serving as Group Product Manager in the Innovation Group at State Farm. With more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, she has built a diverse career spanning accounting, finance, IT strategy, customer experience, and technology transformation. Her career progression reflects a strong ability to adapt and evolve, moving from traditional financial roles into technology-focused leadership and ultimately product innovation.
In her current role, Lauren focuses on identifying emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions that create meaningful value at enterprise scale. She works closely with business leaders to understand strategic goals and challenges, conducts market research, develops discovery business cases, and collaborates with engineering teams to explore and implement new ideas. Her areas of expertise include product strategy, digital transformation, customer experience, AI, and emerging technology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Illinois Wesleyan University and has earned professional credentials including Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
Lauren approaches leadership through three principles: strategy, story, and impact. She believes in asking thoughtful questions, bringing diverse perspectives to complex problems, communicating ideas clearly, and building trust through authentic and transparent relationships. She attributes her success to taking risks, learning through trial and error, staying curious, and surrounding herself with people who provide honest feedback. The best career advice I’ve received is to focus less on titles and more on finding work that inspires me, aligns with my passions, and helps me become the best version of myself.

I would encourage young women to embrace continuous learning, stay adaptable, and be open to change. Growth, resilience, and a willingness to evolve are essential for long-term success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is keeping pace with rapid change while staying prepared for the future and actively contributing to innovation, particularly in artificial intelligence.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Curiosity, courage, and openness to new experiences are most important to me. I also value strong relationships and trust, which help create meaningful and sustainable results.
