Earlier in her career, she gained broad human resources experience across manufacturing, construction, and engineering environments, including roles at Environmental Stoneworks, Reconstruction Experts, and Bechtel Corporation, where she developed expertise in full-cycle recruiting, training program design, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness. She is especially passionate about coaching other leaders and helping teams reach their full potential. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lauren

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the fantastic mentors and leaders I've had along the way, who kept an open door for me to think strategically and share ideas that might be a bit out of the ordinary. I also credit those challenging opportunities which I had to navigate the unknowns while still delivering results. Lastly, I am a genuine people person and have a genuine passion for coaching leaders and employees to drive success within themselves and their teams.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've ever received is to be authentic. Who you are is exactly why you have a seat at the table and why you're in the position you're in — you've earned your place, so be yourself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I'd encourage young women to be bold enough to walk into rooms they weren't necessarily invited into from the start, and to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Show up as yourself, challenge the status quo, bring your ideas forward, and remember that you are the professional in your profession. Above all, learn to link business and people together.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the most significant challenges is bringing people together around a common destination and maintaining alignment throughout the journey. It requires effectively influencing behaviors, encouraging mindset shifts, and helping individuals embrace new ways of thinking and operating to achieve their goals.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity is at the heart of my approach because trust stems from being genuine and willing to show vulnerability. Building strong relationships energizes me, and I thrive when I’m focused on creating meaningful connections. I also place a high value on empathy, ensuring that others feel respected, understood, and empowered to contribute their best.
