About Lauren
Lauren Webb is a communications and executive content strategy professional specializing in C-level community engagement, strategic storytelling, and enterprise event programming. She currently serves as a Content Manager with Gartner C-level Communities, where she joined in October 2025 supporting the Detroit CIO and CISO community and is now transitioning into the CFO community. In this role, she leads the end-to-end planning of executive summits, develops content strategies aligned with emerging market and leadership priorities, and partners closely with community program managers to deliver high-impact experiences for senior executives across major U.S. markets including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Detroit. Her work focuses on researching and curating timely, relevant topics particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, finance transformation, and enterprise leadership and translating those insights into engaging executive programming. She collaborates with C-level leaders to encourage thought leadership contributions, strengthen peer-to-peer exchange, and ensure event content reflects the evolving challenges and opportunities facing global organizations. She is recognized for her ability to combine strategic planning with strong execution, helping to create structured, insightful, and engaging forums for senior decision-makers. Prior to Gartner, Lauren spent eight years at Southwest Airlines in communications and engagement roles, where she supported enterprise-wide internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, and large-scale recognition and event programs for frontline operations, including pilot communities. She values collaboration, adaptability, and relationship-building, and is driven by the opportunity to connect executives, foster meaningful dialogue, and create impactful professional experiences.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lauren
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to strong mentors and supportive leadership who have invested in my growth, as well as a willingness to say “yes” to new opportunities even when I did not feel fully ready. Building meaningful relationships and networking beyond my immediate team has been instrumental in expanding my perspective and opening new doors. I strive to be known as approachable, collaborative, and positive, which has helped me develop a strong internal network of advocates who support and amplify my work. I am also deeply committed to employee recognition and ensuring that people feel valued and heard, which continues to guide how I approach leadership, communication, and engagement initiatives.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of career advice I have ever received was to trust and lean on my team. I learned that collaboration and effective delegation consistently produce stronger results than trying to do everything myself. Building relationships across departments has also been invaluable, helping me grow professionally, broaden my perspective, and develop stronger leadership skills. By empowering others and delegating effectively, I create opportunities for my team to succeed while giving myself the capacity to learn new skills, focus on higher-level priorities, and contribute more strategically to organizational success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to not let imposter syndrome hold you back. Trust in your abilities and recognize the value you bring to the table, even if you do not feel completely ready. While a bachelor’s degree can be valuable, your work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to continuously learn can be just as important in creating opportunities and advancing your career. Be open to developing new skills, embracing challenges outside your comfort zone, and learning how to communicate effectively with different audiences. The more adaptable and confident you become, the better positioned you will be to grow, lead, and succeed.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is helping organizations understand and implement AI in meaningful, practical ways that drive business value. Through executive summits, leadership communities, and local networking events, we have the opportunity to connect leaders with actionable insights, peer perspectives, and strategies they can bring back to their organizations. At the same time, one of the greatest challenges is standing out in an increasingly crowded AI and executive-event landscape while continuously demonstrating value to busy executives. Success depends on creating experiences that deliver meaningful networking opportunities, relevant learning, and tangible business outcomes that make participation worthwhile.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are maintaining a healthy work-life balance and investing in meaningful relationships with family and friends. I believe in working hard and giving my best during busy seasons, while also recognizing the importance of protecting personal time whenever possible. Flexibility, balance, and strong personal connections help me stay grounded, maintain perspective, and bring my best self to both my work and the people who matter most in my life.
