Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I've always been drawn to employment where I felt like I was making a difference, either on a small scale or a large scale. That experience working with the American Red Cross during the Oklahoma City bombing and then being able to go work in New York after 9-11 really formed who I am today. It was a life-altering experience for me, and I made connections with people all over the United States. I got a chance to work with the BBC, and it just really shaped me. In my personal life, I love bringing different types of people together from different pieces of our lives that wouldn't normally come together. I love hosting parties and making those connections with people that then benefit each other. You never know where those relationships may benefit at some point in someone's life. It's kind of a small form of networking, and I just love making those connections.
