Her Interview
Ten minutes with LaurieAnne
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to find their own voice and recognize that they have earned their seat at the table. Especially in technology, which has historically been a male-dominated field, it is important to embrace your capabilities and confidently contribute your perspective. I also believe it is increasingly important to identify the specific skills and strengths that make you uniquely valuable, particularly those that cannot easily be replicated by another person or an AI agent. Knowing your distinctive strengths and learning how to communicate that value can help you build a resilient and meaningful career.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The rapid growth of AI is creating both significant opportunities and important questions for marketing, communications, and organizations more broadly. AI is reshaping how companies build products, communicate with audiences, structure work, and approach go-to-market strategy, while also increasing the importance of human judgment, creativity, governance, and authentic storytelling. I see an opportunity for marketing and communications leaders to help organizations navigate this transformation thoughtfully by combining emerging technology with uniquely human skills, strong narratives, and responsible decision-making.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value authenticity, collaboration, continuous learning, and thoughtful leadership. I believe in building strong cross-functional relationships, listening to different perspectives, and approaching challenges with both strategic thinking and a willingness to get hands-on. I also value being genuine in how I communicate and work with others, particularly in fast-moving environments where trust and collaboration are essential.
