About Laurina
LA Coaching, LLC
With 30 years in the psychological field and 16 years teaching her transformational energy modality in Fort Lauderdale, Laurina Anderson, MSW, internationally known as “The Energy Shifter,” is a master integrative coach, speaker, and founder of LA Coaching. Her path to this work was deeply personal and anything but conventional. After marrying young, raising two children, and navigating divorce, Laurina returned to school in her late thirties with an insatiable passion for learning, earning academic honors before completing her undergraduate studies in Westminster, Maryland, and advanced standing graduate work in social work at Aurora University.
Laurina began her career in the addictions field before spending seven years studying under Debbie Ford, where she became a Master Integrative Coach and immersed herself in shadow work and transformational healing. Her journey eventually evolved into a powerful energy-based coaching modality focused on teaching people how to access and accelerate their internal energy field, regulate the nervous system, release limiting beliefs, and embody their highest potential. Through her work, clients have achieved breakthroughs in business, relationships, fertility, emotional healing, and personal fulfillment. One startup company she worked with for over a decade ultimately sold for $21 million after integrating the energetic and mindset principles she taught throughout the organization.
As a solopreneur, Laurina combines deep psychological insight with energetic transformation to help individuals move beyond survival patterns and into aligned living. She is a featured weekly contributor on AMP2TV’s The Brooklyn Cafe, where every Tuesday she speaks on psychology, personal development, healing, and human potential. She is also a member of The Wellness Universe and a #1 Amazon bestselling co-author of 25 Tools for Transformation. Most recently, she served as a featured speaker and wellness retreat coach at the SoulTreat Retreat in Boone.
Driven by a profound love for humanity and inspired by her own healing journey, Laurina’s mission is to help people understand that they are not trapped by their past, their pain, or their circumstances. She teaches that healing is possible, transformation is available, and every individual has the power to shift their energy and change their life.

Ten minutes with Laurina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to following my soul — listening deeply to what it is speaking to me, understanding what I need, and honoring how I am meant to show up in the world. I never allowed power, status, or greed to define my path. Instead, I chose to follow my passion, purpose, and calling. The challenges I experienced growing up, and the healing journey that followed, became the catalyst for the work I do today. My own transformation showed me that healing is possible for everyone — that no matter what negativity, pain, or hardship someone has experienced, they do not have to remain a victim to their past. There is a way through. There is a way to heal, transform, and reclaim the power of who they truly are.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
.The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay present and listen to your heart. What is it calling you to do? Then move forward in that direction with trust and intention.
I would also say: get your education. Even though I went back to school later in life, it was one of the greatest privileges I’ve ever experienced. I don’t think most people entering college at 18 fully realize the gift they are being given. For me, returning to school awakened such gratitude, passion, and purpose. It provided the organizational structure and academic foundation that strengthened my work as a life and energy coach. My path isn’t built simply on a certification from an academy — it’s grounded in real education, lived experience, and credibility.
Another important lesson I’ve learned is that therapists and healers must do their own inner work first. True transformation comes when we are willing to heal ourselves before guiding others on their journey.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field — and truly in any industry — is the lack of integrity that some people bring into their businesses. Unfortunately, there are individuals in this space who are self-serving and who haven’t done their own inner work. I’ve witnessed people operating from false identities, and I’ve also seen cult-like dynamics emerge within the healing and transformational world. These environments can be incredibly convincing, often masking manipulation as “magic” or transformation, when in reality it can become a form of brainwashing.
It’s both fascinating and heartbreaking to watch people disconnect from their soul — from what is truly speaking to them, what they genuinely need, and how they are meant to show up in the world. Instead, power, ego, and greed can take over, and I’ve seen the damage that creates.
At the same time, there are also incredible opportunities emerging. Speaking engagements, transformational events, podcasts, and social media platforms allow authentic voices to reach more people than ever before. That’s one of the reasons I joined a speaking mastermind — to continue expanding my message, inspire others, and bring deeper awareness, healing, and integrity into this work.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the most important value to me. Living up to your word and allowing that word to be your guidepost. If you say you're gonna do something, you need to do it. I notice where untruths show up in life, or what you're willing to say or how you're willing to behave that is not in your integrity. What's really important is that integrity has to be in your business and your personal life - you're the same person no matter if you're in business or personal. You're just playing different roles, but you're still the same person. What you take personally filters into your business, and what you take into your business filters into your personal. So you have to have integrity at every single moment. It's also extremely important to come from spirit versus ego
