Ten minutes with Layla

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Your passion will take you further than any other aspect. Follow that passion and do not stray from it even when it feels like there's not a good return on investment. It is essential to your well-being, happiness, and essence as a human.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Budget and funding competition are the biggest challenges as federal priorities change and more partners enter the space. The biggest opportunity is being at the nexus of housing and healthcare to help seniors age in place with service coordination and in-house healthcare services.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Giving back and being a servant leader inspired by my Christian faith. Making an impact on those who don't have the opportunities or resources I had growing up. Ensuring I impact those that need it the most.
