Her Interview
Ten minutes with Layna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm a top performer right now, and I strive to try to achieve those goals so that I can accomplish what needs to be done. I'm very proud of where I came from and what I've done in my career with Carfax, and I'm hoping that I can move up in the ranks and continue to work for Carfax until I retire.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Putting everything into what you're doing, trying to learn as much as you can so that you can do your accomplishments and maybe move up in the company. Just being honest, reliable, and dependable.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Try to learn as much as you can from these dealerships. I didn't come from the automotive industry, and everything that I learned was from these dealerships. I'm constantly asking questions to try to learn everything about their business.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The car industry is struggling because of tariffs. Trying to acquire the right inventory with high auction prices. People aren't buying as many new cars, driving them longer from 4-8 years to 8-12 years. It's hard to get them to sign up for new products when they're struggling.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family, faith, and then work. Carfax has that same motto of great work-life balance. Family, faith, and then everything else will fall in line.
