About Leah
Leah Elsbernd is a dedicated public service professional, leadership trainer, and behavioral health advocate with a passion for developing stronger individuals, teams, and justice systems. As the Statewide Problem Solving Court Coordinator for the Colorado Judicial Department, she works at the intersection of justice and behavioral health, designing and delivering training that strengthens communication, leadership, and collaborative problem-solving. A Gallup Global Strengths Coach, Real Colors Certified Facilitator, author, and speaker, Leah is committed to helping professionals build meaningful relationships through authentic connection, emotional intelligence, and evidence-based communication practices.
Leah's professional journey has been shaped by resilience, lifelong learning, and a commitment to personal growth. Drawing from her own experiences overcoming adversity, she embraces discomfort as an opportunity for development and encourages others to do the same. Her work emphasizes motivational interviewing, behavioral health principles, and leadership development, enabling professionals to communicate with empathy, build trust, and create lasting positive impact. In 2025, she published Authentic Connection under the pen name Leah Marie Price, further extending her mission to inspire personal and professional transformation through intentional communication.
Looking ahead, Leah is focused on expanding her leadership within public service while growing her work as a public speaker, communication trainer, and coach. She is driven by the belief that authentic relationships, continuous learning, and self-confidence are essential to effective leadership and meaningful change. Outside of her professional life, Leah enjoys photography, ballroom dancing, spending time outdoors with family and friends, and caring for her two French Bulldog puppies, bringing the same enthusiasm and authenticity to her personal life that she brings to her work.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support of the people in my life, the opportunities I’ve had to pursue an education, and my grit, resilience, and passion for continuous learning. The challenges I’ve faced have taught me to embrace growth rather than fear it. Whenever I feel uncomfortable or stretched beyond my comfort zone, I see it as a sign that I’m about to reach a new level of personal and professional growth, and that perspective keeps me motivated to keep learning, improving, and moving forward.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never shrink myself and to always recognize my value. It taught me to embrace my strengths, speak with confidence, and trust that my skills, perspectives, and contributions have meaning. That advice has encouraged me to show up authentically, pursue opportunities with confidence, and never underestimate the value I bring to every role.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to believe in yourself and never underestimate the value of your unique perspective. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone, embrace continuous learning, and remain resilient through challenges. Seek mentors, build meaningful relationships, and trust that your contributions can make a lasting impact. Confidence, curiosity, and authenticity will take you further than you can imagine.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, integrity, empathy, and transparency are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe in building trust through open communication, treating others with compassion and respect, and consistently acting with integrity, even in difficult situations. These principles shape how I lead, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships, allowing me to make a positive and lasting impact wherever I work.
