Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a deep commitment to learning and development—a passion that runs in my family. Inspired by my mother’s work as an educator, I spent over a decade in the Air Force before transitioning into a career dedicated to cultivating talent. Today, as the Learning and Development Manager, I create pathways to opportunity across the Commonwealth, from designing curricula to mentoring interns.

A pivotal supervisory role I held in 2015 reshaped my understanding of true leadership, and I now channel that insight into my greatest passion: guiding individuals to discover, embrace, and maximize their unique potential. As a working mom, I find the most fulfillment in helping others identify—and fuel—their most rewarding path forward.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to find and pursue authentic paths for growth, recognizing that success and fulfillment look different for everyone. Lean into development opportunities, and approach career and life transitions thoughtfully—especially as working parents—so you can build a career that aligns with both your professional ambitions and personal priorities.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are kindness, respect, empathy, and gratitude—always remembering where I came from. Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with my two young boys, enjoying reading, movie nights, and arts and crafts. I’m also a devoted pet parent to two dogs and a cat, who keep life lively and joyful.
