Leah Leuthauser
 
    
													
							Leah Leuthauser is an accomplished education professional currently serving as Supervisor and Principal at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES in Buffalo, New York. With more than a decade of experience in both instructional and administrative leadership, Leah has built a career rooted in advocacy for equitable education and the advancement of instructional excellence. Her journey in education began in the classroom as a special education and math teacher, and through dedication and vision, she transitioned into leadership roles that have allowed her to influence school systems, support educators, and strengthen student outcomes across multiple districts.
Before joining Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, Leah held several key positions in Broward County Public Schools, including ESE Curriculum Program Specialist and School Building Leader. In these roles, she coordinated districtwide initiatives to promote student growth, implemented data-driven instructional strategies, and provided professional development for educators to ensure consistency and quality across programs. Leah’s expertise spans curriculum design, differentiated instruction, and special education compliance—areas where she has successfully led cross-functional teams and built collaborative partnerships between schools, families, and community agencies.
Leah holds dual master’s degrees from St. Bonaventure University—one in Differentiated Instruction (M.Ed.) and another in Educational Leadership and Administration (M.S.). She also maintains multiple New York State certifications, including the Professional Superintendent Extension and Professional Administrator Certificate. A lifelong learner, Leah is a member of the Forum for Educational Leadership (Cohort 11) and serves as Treasurer for the Western New York affiliate of NYSAWA. Guided by a passion for educational equity and leadership development, she continues to empower others to create inclusive, high-performing learning environments where all students can thrive.
