Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being a self-motivated Customer Service Professional with over 25 years of combined experience in banking, team leadership, and the automotive manufacturing industries. I have developed expertise in corporate accounts, team management, document analysis, sales support, mortgage servicing, escrow analysis, invoicing, collections, and lean manufacturing processes. I am particularly passionate about customer advocacy, both internal and external, employee training and development, systems integration, and solving complex problems. My career has been driven by a commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and supporting teams to achieve their full potential.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from my mentor, my bank manager Wayne Swezey, who profoundly influenced my career path. He told me, "It's my job to train you to replace me someday," and backed it up by giving me meaningful projects and guidance. His investment in my development allowed me to build demonstrable skills, take ownership of responsibilities, and grow into leadership roles. This mentorship taught me the value of investing in others and has shaped how I approach team development throughout my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to start by getting a job anywhere and seek opportunities to be cross-trained. For example, working in a serving position and also training as a host can provide a well-rounded understanding of operations. Work your way up to management and take the time to learn about inventory control and the back-end processes of manufacturing. By gaining experience across different roles, you will develop valuable skills and insights that will serve you throughout your career.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life center on love, integrity, and making a positive impact. I believe that life is short, and our mission is to treat others with care, speak the truth with kindness, and leave everything we touch better than we found it. I am especially proud of my role during a 2016 merger, where I anticipated changes, collaborated with IT specialists, facilitated the transition, and oversaw cross-training and development for a new computer system all with the support of my dedicated team. These experiences reflect my commitment to leading with purpose, supporting others, and fostering growth and excellence in every endeavor.
