For the past three and a half years, she has focused on recruiting both internally and externally, guiding candidates through the hiring process while helping leaders build strong, collaborative teams. Her work also includes workforce planning and coordination of internship programs, allowing her to support the development of future professionals entering the organization. Leah’s career journey reflects a passion for helping people succeed. With a background in psychology and previous experience in advocacy, operations, and claims processing, she developed strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills that naturally translated into talent acquisition. She enjoys connecting with individuals across the organization, learning their stories, and supporting them as they navigate new career opportunities. Committed to professional growth, Leah is currently pursuing a master’s degree in organizational psychology with the goal of bridging talent acquisition and talent development. She is passionate about helping individuals better understand their strengths, motivations, and potential career paths. Outside of her professional work, Leah is also a dedicated advocate for Angelman Syndrome awareness and a proud mother of two boys. Balancing career, graduate studies, and family life, she brings empathy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to supporting others in both her professional and personal endeavors.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to stay curious and be willing to explore opportunities that spark your interest. If something catches your attention, take the time to investigate it and learn more—you never know where your next great opportunity might come from. Often, the most rewarding experiences come from places you may not have initially considered. If an opportunity presents itself, even if it feels a little unexpected or outside your comfort zone, consider giving it a chance. These moments can lead to growth, new passions, and exciting career paths. I also believe that one of the biggest barriers we face is often the one we place on ourselves. The limits we imagine can hold us back more than any external obstacle. Learning to quiet that inner voice that says “I can’t” can make a tremendous difference in how far you’re able to go. Confidence and self-belief are powerful tools, and when you allow yourself to pursue possibilities with an open mind, you often discover strengths you didn’t know you had. Most importantly, life is short, and it’s important to pursue work that brings you both passion and pride. Seek out opportunities that align with what excites you and what you can stand behind at the end of the day. When you find something that combines passion with a sense of purpose, you’re much more likely to build a career—and a life—that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
