What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my mother, who has been the strongest influence in my life. She taught me to be independent, resilient, and focused on my goals, and to never allow anyone to limit my potential. Her guidance shaped my commitment to excellence and inspired me to show up as the best version of myself in everything I do, carrying myself with confidence, purpose, and determination.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the most impactful pieces of career advice I’ve ever received came from a manager at Star Furniture, who often said, “To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is unacceptable.” Although we didn’t have the strongest relationship, that message stayed with me. It instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, professionalism, and respect for other people’s time. That principle has shaped how I show up in my work, how I lead, and how I hold myself accountable to a higher standard.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to face challenges head-on rather than avoid them. Stay open-minded, follow through on what you commit to, and take the time to listen even when you don’t fully agree. Always prioritize compliance and understand that while there may be gray areas in any role, doing things the right way protects both you and your work. Stay highly organized, remain focused on the end result, and don’t dwell on negativity. There will be long and demanding days, but maintaining discipline, perspective, and consistency will help you stay on track and succeed.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field are largely driven by the economy and external factors, since the RV industry is a luxury market and highly sensitive to changes in consumer spending, fuel prices, and global events. At the same time, there are strong opportunities through continued growth at Blue Compass, which allows us to bring in new talent, develop teams, and strengthen overall performance while supporting the success and development of new employees.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are hard work, determination, and longevity. I also prioritize overall happiness and peace, both personally and professionally, and I believe in maintaining a healthy balance between the two. I’m committed to putting in consistent effort and taking pride in the quality of my work, while also knowing when to disconnect and protect my personal time. That balance allows me to stay grounded, lead effectively, and maintain stability and fulfillment in all areas of my life.
