Her Interview
Ten minutes with Leanne
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'd say hard work, but also a passion for it. If you find something you love, and you can't stop talking about it, or you can't stop thinking about it, then that becomes your passion. It's really amazing to see something become your passion and become something that you just kind of geek out over. When I get in a room with other card professionals, it's exciting to me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Just keep knocking on doors. If you have a career field that you're passionate about, or you'd like to learn more about, just keep asking people questions. Don't be afraid to raise your hand if you're in the group and you have a question. No question is a dumb question. Make sure that you're following your heart.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To anyone entering the industry, learn everything that you can about this field that you're going into or you're choosing. And you can always change your mind.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I'm intrigued with AI and where it could go for card and payments in general. But I also think we have to be kind of careful with how we use AI and rely on it. I think we don't know everything about it yet, and I think we just need to have some caution around it.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty above all. Work hard, you know, your work ethic is something to be proud of. And I also think it's a good indication of how you perceive yourself, if you're willing to step back and let other people step forward.
