Leanne Schertzer is a seasoned transportation industry professional with more than 26 years of experience dedicated to the Volvo Group organization. Based in Greensboro, North Carolina, she serves as Senior Strategic Manager of Customer Experience at Volvo Group, where she specializes in business planning, customer experience strategy, training, and operational improvement. She holds a general business degree from PennWest Edinboro and has earned certifications including the ATD Dealer Academy certification and Qualtrics Customer Experience Management Certification.
In her current role, Leanne Schertzer leads customer experience initiatives that enhance engagement and improve the overall customer journey for Mack Trucks and Volvo Group customers. She develops customer experience strategies, defines organizational priorities, and collaborates with product, sales, service, and operations teams to transform customer feedback into actionable improvement plans. Her expertise includes tracking key customer experience metrics such as customer satisfaction, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and Customer Effort Score (CES) to support continuous improvement and innovation.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My ability to connect people and help move processes along. Networking is one of my biggest strengths. I'm able to see where there are missing links and connecting people and bringing groups together.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be afraid to try things even if you're not sure if you're qualified. Always get back to people in the time frame that you commit to.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Know that you are worthy to be there and don't be afraid to speak up. This is a male-dominated industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Driver shortages and finding/retaining qualified technicians. Speed to implement process improvements due to roadblocks like IT systems.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most are trust, collaboration, integrity, purpose, and impact. I believe in building strong relationships, working together toward shared goals, staying true to my principles, and creating meaningful results through my work.
