Leatrice De Bruhl is a dynamic and inspirational leader, serving as the CEO of Phenomenal B.L.A.Qu.E. Women, LLC, and a certified grief coach. With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement and more than seven years in the mental health field, she combines her professional expertise with personal experiences to empower individuals, particularly women, to navigate life’s challenges. She is passionate about using her testimony to motivate others, encouraging them to move beyond past trauma and personal loss while fostering resilience and growth.
Leatrice is also the creator of Grace to Grieve 1:1 Coaching, a faith-based coaching program designed to help women process grief and rebuild their lives with clarity and purpose. She holds a Master of Science in General Psychology with a focus on Organizational and Industrial Psychology from California Southern University, graduating magna cum laude. Her approach blends practical guidance with compassion, providing clients a safe space to heal, grow, and thrive.
In addition to her coaching work, Leatrice is an accomplished motivational speaker, delivering impactful presentations on mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and the experiences of sexual assault survivors. She engages audiences with storytelling, evidence-based insights, and actionable strategies, aiming to inspire positive change and cultivate supportive communities. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, faith, and a deep desire to help others heal. My personal challenges—including overcoming loss, injustice, and difficult relationships—have fueled my passion for supporting mothers, children, and anyone navigating trauma, while my education in psychology and experience as a behavior specialist have given me the tools to make a meaningful impact.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to trust the timing of your life and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me in my work and personal life are family, especially my grandchildren, and seeing my personal projects, like finishing my book, through to completion.
