About Leda
Leda Hernandez is a licensed clinical social worker serving as a school-based therapist in a therapeutic school program within Glendale Unified. With more than 20 years of experience in mental health, she began her career after earning a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Feminist Studies from UC Santa Cruz in 2010, initially working as an intervention coach at Compton Unified before transitioning to roles supporting foster youth and families at a group home in Pasadena. She advanced through various mental health positions, including residential work where she received a most recognized employee award, and completed her master's degree at the University of Southern California in 2020. In her current role since 2020, Hernandez conducts individual and family therapy sessions, assists students with the transition to adulthood by connecting them to resources such as the Department of Rehabilitation, and collaborates with teachers and administrators on threat and risk assessments. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers California chapter.
