Her Interview
Ten minutes with LeeAnn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I was given the opportunity and support when I needed it most to dial back or dial up based on my personal life. Leaders above me saw my value, gave me opportunity and flexibility, which made all the difference in my long-term success.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Keep the clinician centered in all decisions. Centering the clinician will positively impact the care they provide to patients. Use that as your north star and guiding principle despite distractions like financial or operational metrics.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Attracting and retaining clinicians, particularly nurses, in home health and hospice. Demand for services is growing with baby boomers aging but supply of nurses is shrinking, creating a gap that constrains growth.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity is really important. Lead by modeling and setting the example. Make a positive impact in a sustainable way. Support work-life balance so people can flex up or down and have long-term sustainable careers.
