About LEIGH
Leigh McMahon is a Quality and Continuous Improvement Coordinator in the manufacturing industry, where she has accumulated 23 years of experience. She oversees ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 administration while simultaneously stepping into project management for a defense supplier project. McMahon holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Administration, as well as a Master of Manufacturing Management/Quality and Manufacturing Management from Penn State University. With over 13 years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, and precision machining, Leigh has established a reputation as a leader in quality and continuous improvement. Throughout her career, Leigh has successfully managed Quality Management Systems and led Lean Manufacturing initiatives, consistently ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100, and Nadcap. Their expertise extends to implementing process improvements and overseeing cross-functional teams, resulting in measurable cost savings and increased operational efficiency. Known for a collaborative leadership style, Leigh is skilled at building strong teams, tackling complex manufacturing challenges, and maintaining both customer and regulatory compliance. Her commitment to operational excellence has helped organizations improve productivity, quality, and profitability year after year.
Leigh's leadership and work ethic began long before she entered the manufacturing industry. Leigh built an impressive legacy on the softball field, first at Cambridge Springs High School and later at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. At Cambridge Springs, she demonstrated leadership as team captain during both her junior and senior years and was recognized for her individual and team contributions with induction into the Hall of Fame—first with the celebrated 1994 team in 2011, and again as an individual in 2017. She held the school’s batting average record for 13 years and the slugging percentage record for 15 years, while maintaining an outstanding .999 fielding percentage as catcher. Her performance and sportsmanship also earned her the Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.
Continuing her athletic career at Edinboro University from 1995 to 1998, Leigh was a three-time All-PSAC and Mid-Atlantic Region selection as catcher. In recognition of her impact on the program, she was chosen for Edinboro’s All-Time Softball Team during the university’s 150th anniversary celebration. Throughout her career, Leigh was known for her consistency, leadership, and dedication both on and off the field.

Don't stay quiet. If you have something to say, and something to add, make sure that it's heard.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
With manufacturing having always been a male dominated industry, the hardest thing is proving your knowledge, experience, and worth...to both men and women.
