I attribute my success to perseverance, a strong work ethic, and my faith. As a single mother, I learned to overcome challenges with determination and always give my best. The supportive culture and encouragement at KAM Roofing Services have also helped me grow professionally. Most importantly, my Christian faith keeps me grounded, and my sons inspire me every day to work hard and continue striving for success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to avoid increasing my expenses as my income grows. Instead, I focus on living within my means and keeping my expenses below my income, which allows me to build financial security, create long-term wealth, and maintain greater financial stability.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to know yourself and recognize your strengths, especially if you're interested in sales. Strong communication and people skills are essential, as building trust and relationships is key to success. Take care of your health by staying active, exercising regularly, and staying hydrated, particularly when working outdoors. Finally, invest in the tools you need to succeed and never stop learning, because confidence, preparation, and resilience will help you thrive in this industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is the potential for professional growth, strong networking, financial freedom, flexible scheduling, and a healthy work-life balance. At the same time, the industry remains male-dominated, and some customers still prefer receiving estimates from men. The work can also be physically demanding and hazardous, requiring time on rooftops, in attics, and in extreme heat, making safety, resilience, and adaptability essential.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, open communication, loyalty, and living out my Christian faith. These principles guide my decisions, shape my relationships, and help me build trust with the people around me.
