Leslie Dyson, MBA, is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than two decades of experience leading patient access, revenue cycle, and healthcare operations. As Director of Patient Access at CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, Texas, she oversees initiatives that improve how patients connect with care by streamlining scheduling, registration, and access services across the organization. Known for her expertise in healthcare administration, project management, and operational leadership, Leslie has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, optimizing workflows, and enhancing the patient experience through strategic innovation and process improvement.

Before joining CHRISTUS Health, Leslie spent over 15 years with Kaiser Permanente, where she progressed from frontline member services to leadership positions overseeing contact center operations, medical center administration, and revenue cycle initiatives. She later served as Manager of Revenue Cycle at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, leading financial services, regulatory compliance, and operational performance for nearly seven years. Throughout her career, she has successfully managed large-scale operational transformations, implemented Epic-based solutions, directed contact centers of more than 150 agents, and led change management efforts that improved efficiency, customer service, and financial outcomes.

Leslie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from American InterContinental University and earned her Master of Business Administration from Shorter University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is committed to continuous professional growth, recently deciding to pursue a doctoral degree. Passionate about the future of healthcare, Leslie actively advocates for the thoughtful adoption of automation and artificial intelligence to empower healthcare teams, strengthen patient access, and prepare organizations for the evolving healthcare landscape. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith in God, the support of my family, and the strong work ethic my parents instilled in me. These values have guided me throughout my personal and professional journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always do a good job because you never know who is watching. I’ve carried that advice with me throughout my career, and it has shaped the way I approach every opportunity.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women entering this industry to find a mentor and join professional organizations like ACHE, HFMA, or NAHAM. Their mentorship programs provide valuable guidance, support, and networking opportunities.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The opportunities in healthcare are expanding rapidly, especially in technology, automation, AI, revenue cycle management, and data analytics. The biggest challenge is navigating the many career paths available and determining which direction best aligns with your goals.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the value I hold most important in both my work and personal life. I believe in being true to my word, following through on my commitments, and consistently living by the values I promote.
