Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my intrinsic motivation and the example set by my parents, whose hard work and perseverance inspired me as I transitioned from military special operations to civilian life.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to focus on my own path and growth, rather than comparing myself to others.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to “fake it until you make it.” Cultivating confidence early on can empower you to make bold decisions, pursue opportunities that align with your true interests, and advance your career—rather than being limited by societal expectations.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating procedural barriers to implementing new solutions, even though doctors are generally receptive. At the same time, there are significant opportunities, as VA hospitals have made considerable improvements in recent years—an observation I can personally relate to as a current VA patient.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
