Her Interview
Ten minutes with Li
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just go do it. Whatever you're wondering, if it's in your head, you're just gonna keep wondering. Once you tell other people or validate your idea by selling it, then you're gonna get a real answer. Don't listen to people who say you can't do it or it's too risky. You only have one life.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges: Don't think there has to be one way to do things - that's corporate thinking. Opportunities: Innovate and do new things your own way, be okay with going your own path without worrying about what others are doing.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Do the best that you can with what you have. We're not really above anything - no job is below us, it's the foundation. Focus on results, respect people who roll up their sleeves and pitch in beyond their title. Everybody has to pitch in, especially in startups.
