Her Interview
Ten minutes with Liana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm pretty adaptable. I had to learn that by living in a country where if you're not creative, you're not going to get things done because you don't have all of the resources that exist in the U.S. Moving countries and, more recently, becoming a mom, are also things that made me even more adaptable.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I think that nothing is necessarily permanent. So, go for the change you think you should. If it doesn't work, you can always go back.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Have a network of other women that are either going through the same thing or have gone through the same thing. And rely on them.
Also, the second thing is don't let fear stop you from doing what you want to do. If you're scared, do it scared.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Uncertainty. Things change a lot from one week to the next, and if you are not on top of it, you risk being left behind.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Learning is very important to me. So I'm kind of always studying, even if not a formal education. I feel like I'm always studying and always trying to learn what's new, what's out there.
