Her Story
About Lilia
I work independently as a stylist with my own clients, and I love doing it. Anywhere you go, if you want to make an impression, it's what you wear - no matter if you want to see it or not. You walk in a room, and first, before you open your mouth, you see how the woman dresses. I can style men and women, any size, any type of figure, because all my experiences - all the pattern-making skills, fittings, everything else that I did in my life - makes me the professional who I am right now. I'm on some fashion stage now, and I love to dress women and make them feel confident, not necessarily on trend, because you don't need to chase the trends. You just need to know what works for your body and create a wardrobe that every morning when you wake up and want to go to work, you know exactly what you're wearing - it's not giving you anxiety. Most of my clients, the influential women, they're not complaining that they're stressed about their job, but they're complaining that every morning they stand in front of their closet full of clothes and they don't know how to combine, how to edit, how to present themselves. This is where I come in, and my services really help them to bring them to the next level, to get the job that they want, to get the man that they want. I think it's very important for women to know how to present themselves. My mantra is I don't buy anything for my clients full price - I know the sizes and I know the stores. My fees almost disappear because if you're going to go by yourself, you will spend money on full price items, and I'll find something on sale. I can even give you a little fashion book that shows you how to dress and mix and match those styles using AI technology.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lilia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I am proud of each client that I help, because if I can take the everyday woman and man and help them to achieve what they want using clothes as a tool, that's what makes me proud. I do have on Google My Business a lot of reviews - I actually have more than 50 reviews. My business is called Lilibel Style, and the name of this business came because I'm Lilia and I have a daughter, her name is Bella, so the business is Lilibel. I'm hoping that one of the days, she will have a picture of me on her wall, and she will always remember that the business was named Lily Bell.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow the passion. You have to find something that you love, and ideally, to make this love your profession. Like, I used to - I mean, I love fashion from very young age, and I was very fortunate that my mother, when I was young, she understands that this is my passion and geared me towards the passion. When you love what you do, it doesn't feel like you're working, it feels like it just gives you pleasure to do it every day, every minute.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges are to find the clients and to explain to women that styling, stylists, it's not an extra. It's like if you're going to go to hair salon and you want to make yourself pretty, but your style is not there, you're not complete. If you don't know how to style yourself, a stylist is just enhancement - it's not just enhancement, it's something that you really need. You need to hire a stylist so the stylist can organize your closet and let you know what you need and how to buy it. My mantra is I don't buy anything for my clients full price. I know the sizes and I know the stores, and my fees almost disappear between - if you're going to go by yourself, you will spend money on full price items, and I'll find something on sale. So my price is kind of included in the whole package.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In work, I just want my customers, my clients, to be satisfied with what I do. It's extremely important for me. So when I finish with them, they feel confident, they know what they want, how to dress themselves. That's where my knowledge is, so it's important for me to utilize my knowledge and help the clients to feel amazing. In personal life, my family is very important. It's extremely important.
