Lilian Mitei

Lilian Mitei is a middle school teacher with over 16 years of experience in education. She has taught elementary, middle, and high school levels, including public schools in another state, and currently teaches at a Christian behavioral school in Montgomery, Texas, where she addresses academics for students with behavior issues. Originally from Kenya, she earned her degree in education, arts, English, and literature there before moving to the United States. She is pursuing a degree in clinical mental health counseling at Colorado Christian University and expects to complete her practicum and graduate in May. Her professional approach emphasizes the interconnected roles of family, school, community, and faith in helping students overcome challenges and achieve their potential. She incorporates Christian values such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control into her work. Lilian has also volunteered with Agape to serve the homeless in Orlando, Florida, and supports disadvantaged children in her community by helping them attend school.
