Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lily
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to recognizing that, no matter how difficult the failures I encounter may be, each one serves as an opportunity for growth, reflection, and learning. I have come to understand that failure is not a measure of defeat, but an essential part of the learning curve that ultimately shapes resilience, perspective, and success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that every failure is a learning opportunity. Each setback teaches you what doesn’t work and brings you one step closer to success. Even if you fail 99 times and succeed on the 100th, those 99 experiences have taught you exactly what not to do—and that knowledge is what ultimately leads to success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay resilient and never let difficult moments define you. No matter how challenging life or your career becomes, remember that when you reach rock bottom, the only direction to go is up. Challenges are part of the journey, and there is always an opportunity to learn, grow, and come back stronger. Keep perspective, believe in yourself, and never underestimate your ability to overcome adversity.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I face is balancing the demands of raising a family of five while continuing to invest in my own growth and knowledge. Finding time for professional development and making self-care a priority can be difficult, but it has taught me the importance of balance, discipline, and sacrifice. Ultimately, it’s about staying focused on the bigger picture and remembering that the sacrifices I make today are helping me reach my long-term goals.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are loyalty, stability, and consistency. I believe that staying true to these values builds trust, creates strong relationships, and provides a solid foundation for long-term success. When you remain loyal, consistent, and committed to your goals, I believe you can go very far in life.
