Her Story
About Lina
Lina Lenis began her career in 2012 as a classroom teacher, initially working as a dual language teacher with ENL extensions and holding special education certification. After completing her master's degree, she pursued a second master's in technology to build her skills in that area. This led to an opportunity to work in a technology-focused role at LIU, where she has been for the last 3 to 4 years. With a total of 10 years in education and about 2 years specifically in AI education and technology, she integrates technology into learning environments and delivers training. She also founded a nonprofit dedicated to teaching basic technology skills to adults, offering sessions at libraries including Glen Cove and Bayville, with topics ranging from file storage to AI introductions and online safety. She maintains a Google Ads certification and remains committed to ongoing professional development through additional courses in the rapidly changing technology field.
