Her Interview
Ten minutes with Linda
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance, determination, and faith. Growing up in a single-parent household with its own challenges taught me resilience from an early age. I have always been driven to become the best version of myself, and that determination, combined with my faith, has guided me throughout my personal and professional journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of career advice I received was that it's never too late to start over and invest in yourself. A supervisor encouraged me to believe in my abilities and pursue further education, which gave me the confidence to take the next step in my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never stop learning, build meaningful professional relationships, and let your desire to help others guide your work. Many of the people we serve are facing difficult moments in their lives, so leading with compassion and a genuine commitment to helping others is essential.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is helping people recognize the importance of planning for the future. Many believe estate planning is only necessary later in life or for those with significant assets, but unexpected events can happen to anyone. Educating people about the value of essential documents, such as financial and medical powers of attorney, presents an important opportunity to better prepare individuals and families.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and strong moral character are the foundation of everything I do. I believe trust is built through honesty, accountability, and treating others with respect. Surrounding myself with people who share those values has been essential to both my personal happiness and my professional success.
