About Linda
Linda Hess has built a career in sales spanning 19 years in technology and 14 years in audio-visual manufacturing. She started in jewelry distribution and, after being let go due to restructuring, moved into her first technology sales role with scanners, printers, and software. Hess joined Panasonic after being approached by colleagues and initially sold a range of products including audiovisual, broadcast studio equipment, pro video, security surveillance, audio, and laptops across North America. Over the past 10 to 11 years, she has concentrated on audio-visual sales, which she finds rewarding due to the industry's constant development. She is an advocate for women in the AV industry and engages in volunteering with Girl Scouts through her daughter's involvement as well as opportunities provided by Panasonic.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be intimidated. You're smart. You know what you're doing, you know what you're talking. But you just have to prove it to everybody else. Women have to prove ourselves a little bit more than men. Prove that we have the knowledge, prove that we know what we're talking about. Hold your head up high. If you want it, you can get it.
