Her Interview

Ten minutes with Linda

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the mentors who believed in me and invested in my growth throughout my career. Their willingness to provide practical guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to learn through hands-on experience gave me the confidence to continue growing as a leader. Those relationships taught me the importance of supporting others, remaining open to learning, and approaching challenges with resilience and determination.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to become actively involved in professional organizations that support and advance women in commercial real estate. Building a strong network, seeking mentors who will advocate for your success, and developing meaningful professional relationships can make a significant difference in navigating a traditionally male-dominated industry. Stay engaged, continue learning, and don't hesitate to pursue leadership opportunities that expand your impact.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the ongoing challenges in commercial real estate is the limited representation of women in senior leadership positions. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities through creative public-private partnerships, placemaking initiatives, and collaboration between developers, businesses, municipalities, and community organizations. By creating vibrant public spaces and meaningful community experiences, we can strengthen neighborhoods while delivering lasting value for tenants, businesses, and residents alike.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my professional and personal life are community, mentorship, service, resilience, and supporting others without judgment. I believe strong relationships, collaboration, and investing in people create lasting success. Whether leading teams, mentoring future professionals, or building community partnerships, I strive to create opportunities that help others grow while making a meaningful and positive impact.
