About Linda
Linda Chair practiced law for over 20 years, initially running her own practice before joining a partnership and later working for a global technology company. After retiring around 2016, she became a professional historian and public speaker, delivering 2- to 4-hour talks on the law, judicial decisions, and the Constitution through the American Constitution Society for four years. She founded Team Women Minnesota in 2010, a nonprofit with about 750 members that offers one-to-one mentoring for girls and women along with conferences on business topics. Chair also leads a subchapter of the local political organization Pure Party Politics, bringing in speakers on national, state, and local issues. Her areas of focus include strengthening laws protecting women and girls, constitutional law education, and mentoring women in business and politics. She holds a JD from William Mitchell, a master's in Special Education and Testing from New Mexico, and an MBA certificate from the University of Minnesota. Chair is a Mensa member and received a research award from Cambridge University for original research on one of her lecture topics. She is also a member of the Twin Cities Council on Foreign Relations.
