Ten minutes with Lindsay

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong, wonderful women around me. My mother taught me to be strong and to never give up. My daughters teach me everyday that a kind and fierce mother is something to be proud of. My resilience and dedication are what bring me back to the table every time I get knocked down. Nothing can stop me from succeeding!

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Doing the research, putting in the hours, and doing more than the minimum will never let you down. Being the best and brightest requires effort, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and shine!

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stand up and be heard. You have the tools, you have the drive, you have the power. If men are the face of an industry then you be the neck that holds it up! Demand a seat at the table and don’t let them move you.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Insurance is a moving target. The market is constantly moving and changing. We have to be on top of new trends, technology, and new challenges that our customers face so that we can be right there beside them, ready to take on the next wave.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Perseverance and integrity. Doing your very best so that your work speaks for itself. No one can say anything against you if you have everything done properly and to the very best of your abilities. People start to notice when your name is mentioned, be honest and firm in your decisions and you cannot go wrong.
