Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lindsey
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would think that I just didn't let my hardships break me. Let them shape me. And I kept going. I think I used them as fuel. To be better, and to do better, and to share.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I think like keep going. Not everyone is going to understand your vision, not everyone is going to understand why you're doing what you're doing, but keep going. If you give up, then nobody will ever get a chance to receive the gifts that you have to give.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell her to keep this little voice in your ear that just says, who cares? Somebody doesn't understand you. Who cares? Somebody's questioning what you're doing, who cares? Know what you have to offer, and stay grounded in who you are, and everything else, who cares?
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The market can be really saturated. Educating people on why you should work with me, why my quality is great, why the price point might be a little higher. People can get it instantly, but when you work with an herbalist, usually you should have a consultation. I'm making things by hand, so it might take a little longer.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, above all. I will never push anything just to make a sale. If something doesn't work for somebody, I will be very honest. If I can't help someone, I will be honest. Quality is another one. All of our things are organic, they are sourced locally.
